Introduction
Everyone has good opinions, some spicy enough to start arguments with others. In this blog post I will introduce my flavor hills that I'll happily take to my grave. These takes aren’t out there, but they get way more hate than they deserve.
Breakfast For dinner
Breakfast for dinner is a tradition in my family. Once a week, we will make biscuits or cinnamon rolls with bacon, eggs, and fruit. As someone whose favorite meal is breakfast this is my favorite day of the week, with unmatched sweet flavors while still getting all of the needed nutrients that you would get from a "classic" dinner. Double downing on breakfast will never be a guilty pleasure, forever just a pleasure.
Ketchup on Eggs
People love to hate on this one, but I'll forever defend it: ketchup belongs on eggs. Since the first time I tried eggs, my parents put ketchup on it, now I won't eat it any other way. The sweetness of ketchup covers up the off-putting taste in eggs that makes some people avoid them altogether, while still managing to keep the good aspects of eggs in, like the texture and protein that keep them filling . Ketchup also introduces a more moist option of eggs instead of dry salt and pepper eggs, almost giving it a new life. Eggs and ketchup belong together not just ''go together."
Kraft Mac and Cheese Beats Fancy
Why spend an extra $15 on noodles and cheese, when the cheapest is also the best. The fancy option might have Kraft beat by looks, but certainly not by taste. Kraft doesn't need special meat, breadcrumbs, or need to be baked to be worth the money. It's quick, reliable, and never tried to be anything other than a basic mac and cheese. At the end of the day, mac and cheese only has one job: to taste good. Kraft does that best, and that’s a cheesy hill I’ll happily die on.
