Introduction
Whether you’re an outgoing extrovert who never gets embarrassed or a quiet person who tries to stay under the radar, there will always be moments when food becomes your worst enemy, which is exactly why some snacks just don't belong in public. I've rounded up 3 foods that don't belong in public, 1 messy, 1 smelly, and 1 awkward to save you the embarrassment.
Messy
If there’s one snack that makes more of a mess than it does squash the hunger, it’s Takis. No matter how hard you try, you'll always have the need to wipe your hands or worse, lick them. The orangey crumbs have a way of hiding in the nooks of your clothes, and while you try to brush the dust off, it only ends up smearing the color across your outfit. In a matter of a minute, you look like you came from a crime scene, hands covered in red and clothes stained with red stripes. Not only this but now everyone can tell what you ate, a reminder that this snack is best saved for home.
Smelliest
This smelly snack might be obvious to some, but not to others. One food that should definitely be avoided in public is the hard-boiled egg. While it makes for a perfect breakfast or a balanced snack, it also ranks as one of the smelliest foods. The worst part isn’t just the odor itself, it’s how long it lingers, even after the egg has been thrown away. Don’t be the one who turns heads for the wrong reason. Don’t worry, the eggs will taste just as good at home.
Awkward
Who loves eating lollipops? I know I do, but eating one in public is a different story. They are a classic childhood snack, but that's the problem they are childish, and eating them in a more adult public setting, such as work can ruin your mature look, which is never the goal. Another reason is the amount of time it takes to actually finish the lollipop, it is not just a snack you can nibble at and put away when needed, once you start, its takes a while to finish. One of the last reasons is the awkward sucking noise that it makes, which can be distracting, annoying, or odd to others. That's why as much as I enjoy them, lollipops just don't belong in a public setting.
