Eat This, Become That: Foods That Change Who You Are on the Spot

 Introduction

As we all know, food fuels our body, but sometimes food can do more than just that, it can alter the way you feel as a person, or how you're seen. One bite and sometimes you're a totally different person. Here are the foods that don't just feed you, but transform  you too

Pesto

Pesto is delicious but it doesn't always look that way. The green textured sauce is a quick way to change how people see you, if people don't know what pesto is they might think you're suddenly and adventurous person, who's willing to try anything, or a heath-focused person that always makes sure to have some green in their meal, little do they know its made mostly out of basil, garlic, and oil. In reality, pesto is less about reinvention and more about tricking people into thinking you’ve evolved beyond plain marinara.

Caviar

Caviar is one of those foods that instantly changes the room when it shows up. Tiny black pearls sitting on a cracker or spoon suddenly transform you into the kind of person who “summers” somewhere instead of just going on vacation. From the outside it's exotic, and intimidating, maybe even giving the vibe that you have a secret trust fund. Yes the truth is that it just tastes like ocean butter, but to every one else: you're living in first class.

Avocado Toast

Avocado toast is less a meal and more a lifestyle declaration. The second you order it, you’re no longer just someone eating breakfast, you've become someone who screams trendy, instagram, and healthy. Taking the time to make something so put together seems to some like you have too much time on your hands, choosing vibes and looks over realistic timely meals. At its core, avocado toast is just bread and smashed fruit dressed up with topping, but once it hits your plate, you suddenly seem ready to go to you pilates class at 6:00 am this morning.

Cotton Candy

Cotton candy is different than the others, this candy doesn't just change the way your seen, but also your age. As soon as the fluffy sugar melts on you tongue you turn into a sugar high 7 year old. For just a moment, all of your problems go away, after all you're just a kid and reliving the classic childhood joy. It doesn’t feed you, it just feeds your inner child.

Childhood Snack Glow-Ups

Introduction Everyone has their classic childhood snacks that they still think about or even still eat.  Classic childhood snacks never go out of style, but our taste buds grow up. Here’s how to keep the foods you love and give them a grown up, glow up. 1. Dunkaroos  For some, the sweet-and-crunchy duo of Dunkaroos is just too good to leave in childhood. Luckily there's a healthier, more grown option with some graham crackers, greek yogurt, and honey. This trio will perfectly match the snack ability and keep the sweetness alive through the graham cracker and honey. -Break apart a couple graham crackers into the 4 different thin pieces -Scoop a couple spoonfuls of greek yogurt into a separate bowl -Drizzle some honey on top of the yogurt  -Dip in and enjoy! 2. Fruit Roll-Ups Fruit Roll-ups remain a classic throughout my life, but whenever my mom decide we needed to be healthier she would make dehydrated fruit leathers. Don’t worry, the sweetness is stil...

Flavor Hills I’ll Die On

Introduction Everyone has good opinions, some spicy enough to start arguments with others. In this blog post I will introduce my flavor hills that I'll happily take to my grave. These takes aren’t out there, but they get way more hate than they deserve. Breakfast For dinner Breakfast for dinner is a tradition in my family. Once a week, we will make biscuits or cinnamon rolls with bacon, eggs, and fruit. As someone whose favorite meal is breakfast this is my favorite day of the week, with unmatched sweet flavors while still getting all of the needed nutrients that you would get from a "classic" dinner. Double downing on breakfast will never be a guilty pleasure, forever just a pleasure. Ketchup on Eggs People love to hate on this one, but I'll forever defend it: ketchup belongs on eggs. Since the first time I tried eggs, my parents put ketchup on it, now I won't eat it any other way. The sweetness of ketchup covers up the off-putting taste in eggs that makes some ...
