Foods That Deserve a Warning Label

 Introduction

You know those red signs on children's toys that say "choking hazard"? Honestly some food deserves that same treatment. No, I am not talking about the obvious ones like grapes or lollipops, but instead everyday foods that usually wouldn't bat an eye. Grab some water and let's dive into 3 foods that absolutely deserve a warning label.

Mozzarella Sticks

This one shouldn't be too surprising when you actually think about it. People look for the mozzarella sticks that the cheese stretches so far it doesn't break, also known as the ultimate "cheese pull".That being said, when you take a bite, the cheese can be so thick it refuses to break apart, sometimes it just slides straight down your throat in one unbroken chunk. The only way out? Either a desperate gulp or a coughing fit strong enough to launch the cheese back up. I remember this happening to me back in elementary school, and I was traumatized for nearly two years, so trust me, these definitely deserve a warning label.

Hard Shell Tacos

Hard shell tacos should definitely come with a warning label: one wrong bite and you're trying to swallow a razor blade. Don't get me wrong, tacos are one of this world's best foods, but those hard shells are sneaky. Not enough chewing and those tasty nacho cheese shells turn into jagged edges that scratch all the way down your throat. Honestly, a tiny label reminding people to "chew carefully" could save a lot of throats, cough attacks, and dignity.

Popcorn

Popcorn might be an unexpected one, they are soft, airy, and very easy to chew, what's the problem? The real danger is the kernels, the hard little landmines hiding under the fluffy pieces. Sometimes they’re tucked beneath the popped ones, other times they’re buried in that handful you toss into your mouth without even looking. Not only could you choke on them, but you could also break your teeth on them, like mini jawbreakers. Popcorn is definitely a fan favorite snack, but also a snack size death wish.

Childhood Snack Glow-Ups

Introduction Everyone has their classic childhood snacks that they still think about or even still eat.  Classic childhood snacks never go out of style, but our taste buds grow up. Here’s how to keep the foods you love and give them a grown up, glow up. 1. Dunkaroos  For some, the sweet-and-crunchy duo of Dunkaroos is just too good to leave in childhood. Luckily there's a healthier, more grown option with some graham crackers, greek yogurt, and honey. This trio will perfectly match the snack ability and keep the sweetness alive through the graham cracker and honey. -Break apart a couple graham crackers into the 4 different thin pieces -Scoop a couple spoonfuls of greek yogurt into a separate bowl -Drizzle some honey on top of the yogurt  -Dip in and enjoy! 2. Fruit Roll-Ups Fruit Roll-ups remain a classic throughout my life, but whenever my mom decide we needed to be healthier she would make dehydrated fruit leathers. Don’t worry, the sweetness is stil...

Flavor Hills I’ll Die On

Introduction Everyone has good opinions, some spicy enough to start arguments with others. In this blog post I will introduce my flavor hills that I'll happily take to my grave. These takes aren’t out there, but they get way more hate than they deserve. Breakfast For dinner Breakfast for dinner is a tradition in my family. Once a week, we will make biscuits or cinnamon rolls with bacon, eggs, and fruit. As someone whose favorite meal is breakfast this is my favorite day of the week, with unmatched sweet flavors while still getting all of the needed nutrients that you would get from a "classic" dinner. Double downing on breakfast will never be a guilty pleasure, forever just a pleasure. Ketchup on Eggs People love to hate on this one, but I'll forever defend it: ketchup belongs on eggs. Since the first time I tried eggs, my parents put ketchup on it, now I won't eat it any other way. The sweetness of ketchup covers up the off-putting taste in eggs that makes some ...
